This is an unfinished wren nest box.  I design and make all of the bird houses that I sell in my own workshop.  This house would be suitable for a wren, chickadee, nuthatch or other small birds.  It has a hole size of 1 1/8”.  It is constructed from 3/4in. seasoned yellow pine lumber.  The dimensions are 6” x 7 ½” x 6 ½”.  It is made for hanging from a tree, porch, etc. These houses have been used and tested many years with excellent success.  These houses are attractive and can be painted and decorated as you wish, but should not be painted on the inside.  The main purpose of this house is for the birds.  The bottom is fastened in place with a screw and slides out for cleaning after the nesting season is over.
