These houses are designed with the smaller species of birds in mind.  The hole size is reduced to 1 1/8" to eliminate the larger birds from entering.  They may be used by any cavity nesting bird that can enter this diameter hole such as the small wren, chickadee, nuthatch and other varieties that you may have in your backyard.  These nest boxes are attractive and functional houses that you would be proud to display in your backyard or garden area.
